    Two Clinton teens, 12-year-old killed in crash




    CLINTON (WGME) - Two young people and a 12-year-old from Clinton, including two sisters, passed on Sunday morning in an accident where police said freshness and speed were factors, with the youngster driver not owning a permit. 

    Two different youngsters were harmed in the Hinckley Road crash, which occurred around 7:16 a.m. Sunday, Public Safety representative Steve McCausland said. 

    It was a solitary vehicle mishap. Police said Thomas Pofirio, 15, Emily Baker, 14, and Ashland Baker, 12, were dead inside the vehicle when people on call landed on scene 

    The driver, a 16-year-old Clinton kid, and traveler Naveah Wilson, 12, of Clinton are being treated at Maine Medical Center in Portland. 

    Police are not discharging the name of the driver as the accident examination proceeds. 

    Later Sunday evening, SAD 49 Superintendent Roberta Hersom posted on the school region's Facebook page the update she conveyed to all staff individuals, saying, "Our people group is profoundly disheartened by the disastrous loss of our understudies, sisters Ashlin and Emily Baker, and Thomas Porfirio.

    The accident occurred close to the crossing point of Hinckley Road and True Road.
